What is it?
Welcome to the world of Sentinel Comics, an exciting place of super-powered heroes, dastardly villains, and the ever-changing environments where they clash! The core rulebook teaches players everything they need to play Sentinel Comics: the Roleplaying Game, whether they’re a hero, or running the game as a GM! This is a game of powerful heroes, terrifying villains, and the conflicts between them in a world of comic book storytelling!
The Task At Hand
This was the layout-only project that started my career at Greater than Games, and the project I was hired to work on. At the time, Greater than Games composed of maybe 10 people. However, with a super successful 1.5 million dollar Kickstarter that ultimately kicked-off the company and the Sentinel’s universe, their projects were on the up-rise. They were growing, and needed a team member that could help them achieve their goals. It was my job to complete what they started — the 438-page Core Rulebook to the Sentinel Comics RPG.










Team Effort
Completing the Core Rulebook was a task that included the teamwork of multiple people. I worked directly with Christopher Badell, the writer of Sentinel Comics, Adam Rebottaro, the lead artist, my art director, several editors and playtesters, citizens of GTG who demoed the game, and many more. This project even withstood the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdowns as we still managed to virtually put our heads together via many socially distanced zoom meetings, Slack conversations and emails to make everything the best it could be. The end and final product was nominated for 6 Ennie Awards in 2021, which are basically equivalent to the Emmy Awards for the board game industry. What an accomplishment for everyone involved!
